The Road Rocket is a High Quality Mini Bike that will give you many years of fun for the whole family. Its a Proven Mini Bike that has been Made in America since 1960. All the parts for this Mini Bike are available on our website. Painting and Assembly Required
Customers call us and ask about the import mini bikes they have seen. They look nice. We sold them for a brief period as the Doodle Bug and the Monster Dog Mini Bike. We discontinued them due to quality problems and parts non-availability. They have non-standard parts so customers cannot repair or replace Brakes, Sprockets, Clutches, Chains etc. The kids ride them a few times, then they sit in the garage broken

CLUTCH
You will need to select a Clutch for your Mini Bike in Product Options.
The 12 tooth clutch will give you a faster take off and lower gearing for climbing hills. The 13 tooth clutch will give you more top end speed

ENGINE
The Mini Bike Kit does not include an Engine unless you add one.
After adding this Mini Bike Kit to your cart, you must scroll down to add an engine.
All of the engines shown below fit this frame and have a throttle cable adapter setup for minibikes. Not just any engine will work on a Mini Bike

CHAIN GUARD
Add a Chain Guard, Strongly Advised, in Product Options above

KICKSTAND
Add a Kickstand with weldable Mounting Bracket in Product Options above

FENDERS
Add Fenders in Product Options above. Select Plated or Paint Ready finish. installation requires drilling of the fenders. mounting screws not included
GAS TANK: Most of the newer engines now have a larger gas tank and a much taller gas cap due to EPA requirements. On a Minibike, this can make it difficult or impossible to remove the gas cap. If you are ordering one of our minibike kits (Road Rocket, 3540, 3541 or 3544) we recommend installing the external Minibike Gas Tank shown below when using our Titan Engines. When using our Robin Engines, we recommend ordering the Low Profile Gas Cap. This is not an issue on a Gokart

FUN TO BUILD

This is an excellent project for you or your family. Not only does it help teach mechanical basics, but you can also have the fun of riding it after you have said
"I built it myself!"
The kit includes everything you need except an engine and clutch. Add a Clutch and other add-ons in Product Options above. Then scroll down to add an engine if you need one.
No welding is required! Everything simply bolts together. The Frame & Forks come completely welded and are not painted, are made from thick-wall mild steel tubing.
The engines shown below fit this frame and have throttle cable adapter setup for minibikes.

ENGINE INFO: Not just any engine can be used on a Go Kart or Minibike. The engines shown below are factory designed to be used on Go Karts or Minibikes

Lawn Mower and Utility Engines from other suppliers may cause you to have unwanted problems such as these:
|

They may not have the proper spring-loaded throttle return for the throttle cable
-
The crankshaft may be the wrong length and a standard clutch will not fit
-
The side cover may not have a standard bolt pattern for adding chain guards, Torq-a-Verter kits, etc.

It may also be completely under-powered because of the RPM range of the engine

WARNING
DEATH OR INJURY CAN OCCUR GOKARTS AND MINIBIKES CAN BE DANGEROUS TO OPERATE. INJURY AND DEATH CAN RESULT FROM IMPROPER ASSEMBLY and/or operation.
MECHANIC RECOMMENDED Gokart and Minibike kits must be assembled by a qualified mechanic for safety reasons as well as proper operation. These are parts only. The Customer is responsible for final design and building of the minibike and installing the Drivetrain. Customer assumes all risk associated with assembling and operating any minibike, gokart or any vehicle the customer builds using these parts. Kits are sold without an engine. Customers should complete a rider safety course prior to the operation of any powersport product.
NO WARRANTY No warranty on kits. Kits are not returnable for any reason and no refunds will be issued. Customer is responsible for painting and assembly of kit. For safety reasons as well as proper operation, we strongly recommend that kits are assembled and/or inspected by a qualified mechanic or persons with appropriate mechanical expertise prior to operation. We cannot refund or exchange your kit if you cannot perform these functions or refuse to let a shop do it for you

We are just having tons of fun. It was very easy to build. We put it together in 2 afternoons. We got the fame powdercoated purple. It looks great. You have to drill mounting holes for the fenders but they really look cool. We got the chrome fenders. The Robin 6hp is a little screamer! We tweeked the governor (shhh) and now its hitting 50+ mph. After seeing mine, my neighbor got one too.
