Amazing Take-off Power and Speed for your Baja Heat 6.5, MB200 or Warrior Minibike. Convert the Jackshaft to a Torque Converter. The Baja Heat is a good minibike, but lacking in speed. This is a great upgrade!
Convert your Baja Heat (MB200) 6.5 Minibike from a Jackshaft to a Torque Converter. The 1002B TC2 3/4" Bore, 10 Teeth, #40/41 chain, Easy to install, Bolts onto your 196cc Engine and gives you a big boost in power! some minor modifications may be needed depending on model/year. Detailed Installation Instructions included.
NOTE: Your engine must have a Drilled and Tapped Crankshaft in order for this kit to work. WARRIOR/MB200: Please Note, this kit will install on the Warrior or MB200 minibike engine ONLY if the crankshaft is drilled and tapped for a bolt. We have noticed that some Warrior / MB200 minibikes do not have a tapped crankshaft engine. Please check your engine before ordering. All Baja Heat minibikes come with a tapped crankshaft.
UPDATE: Recent Baja Minibikes sold are equipped with a threaded crankshaft on the engine. Users have been able to use a lug nut to install the Driver Clutch on this engine. select the lug nut in product options above if you need it

QUALITY ASSURANCE TESTING:
GokartsUSA's initial testing of the GTC Torque Converter proved highly successful. The TC2 was road tested on a Little Bad Ass Minichopper with a 5hp Tecumseh Engine. The TC2 model 1002 was used which has a 3/4" Bore and #40/41P Chain. The performance impressed our technicians. The low end power and torque was strong enough to raise the front wheel with just barely applying the throttle. Take off and acceleration was also remarkably impressive. Taking on a steep hill from a complete stop, the TC2 smoothly down shifted and pulled the 200 pound rider up the hill with ease. On level ground, at maximum throttle, the TC2 shifted into a very high overdrive ratio and gave us an impressive top speed of 52mph from this stock 5hp Tecumseh. All in all, the TC2 performed significantly better than the stock TAV2* the bike originally came with.

High Performance
|
The TC2 is a High Performance asymmetrical torque converter system in which the sheave faces have different angles. The system operates with the torque sensing cam in an outboard position allowing for in-line operation of the unit. The primary benefit of this design is that it allows proper alignment of the final drive chain to be on the same side of the vehicle as the torque converter. Moreover, the angle on the movable sheave being set at 18 degrees enables the unit to raise the belt to a larger pitch diameter with less travel of the sheave. This allows the unit to achieve higher overdrive ratios at maximum RPM

OPERATION OF THE TC2
|
The TC2 provides Neutral engagement at Engine Idle. At 2200 RPM, the system engages for a Powerful Low Ratio for great takeoff speed. At Mid Range, the TC2 instantaneously shifts ratios based upon RPM and Load Requirements. Finally, the High Performance Overdrive engages for maximum speed

Troublesome to put on, but.....

I'm new to this so I thought this wouldn't be bad, and it wasnt. The only problem was modifying parts and aligning the belt that wouldn't align properly with the parts given in the kit. Also the chain wouldn't fit without 2 masterlinks and the keys would fit into the jack shaft without the use of a hammer and wd40 Aside from these annoyances, it's a mighty piece of machinery that'll make your bike much more powerful....... buy make sure you have metric with you for sockets.

This "kit" is misleading

This is just a 1002 kit. If you want the lug nut for the later models it is extra. The bad thing about it it's the wrong lug nut. Should be 1 to 1.37 long and this one is .75. Only maybe two threads engage. Your decals are on backorder and you will never get them.I contacted customer service and that was a joke. *********************ANSWER: Carl, Yes the 1002B for the Baja Minibike is the same as the 1002 with the same price. We offer the 1002B to make it easier for our customers to choose the correct Torque Converter. Yes, you can use the 1" Lug nut if you choose. the 3/4" works just fine. The Baja Engine is a very cheaply made engine. We recommend upgrading the engine. Michael Leonard I got this for my baja warrior mb and it changed it to a animal ! four of my friends now also got it for their baja mb's and we continue to trick them out even further to exhaust and k&n air filters ... Good times ! Just be sure your drive shaft is threaded before you buy this clutch kit .. Or else it won't work.. Thanks gokartusa USA

I got lots of low end and top speed out of this TC. This was money well spent. Glad to see a good quality product from GTC. I would definitely recommend it. I had to cut off one of the cover mount bracket to install it, no big deal. I was still able to install the cover
