The RGI Torque Converter is a low cost alternative, compatible with the GTC TC2 1002 and Comet* TAV2* Torque Converters. It includes a large cast aluminum mounting plate and a FREE COVER, a $29 Value and all other parts needed. Note, the TC2 1002 comes with a smaller billet aluminum mounting plate that may be easier to mount on your gokart or minibike. DOCUMENTATION:
NOTE: make sure to install the belt with the Flat Side towards the engine. If not, your belt will be shredded within 5 minutes of operation

INSTALLATION NOTES: Please download and read the Installation Instructions. The instructions are for the GTC converter but also apply to this RGI converter with all parts interchangeable. Some modifications may be needed to install this torque converter kit on your particular engine. You may need to relocate some components on your engine including the catalytic converter on some models.You will likely have to grind down the rear oil filler cap on a new or newer engine, they are far too long. This RGI FG01 Torque Converter is compatible with the GTC TC2 1002, with the exception that it comes with the large cast aluminum engine mounting plate. The GTC Model comes with the smaller billet aluminum engine mounting plate which makes it easier to install in a smaller space. The optional Engine Mounting Platform can raise the engine sufficiently so as to enable installation of a torque converter if more clearance is needed. Although we provided you with the most common hardware needed for installation on most engines, some engine cases may be threaded differently. If this occurs, you may have to supply the mounting bolts from your local hardware store. If you are replacing a torque converter, this FG01 will simply bolt up.
