Kandi KD-200
(KD-200GKM+) Buggy Go Kart

Great Kart!
Evan Thomas (Lowell, MI)
My neighbor bought one of these an a
few weeks later I did too. Build was easy and the Kart is great! Put a ton of
miles on it already and only 1 hiccup - the fuel filter was leaking. Easy
fix, $3 at the hardware store. Engine starts every time and the Kart goes
great. I highly recommend GokartsUSA as a company
as well. I had questions while the order was in process - they answer the
phone within two rings and got me the answers right away! Great job and a
great kart,

I got the L4 prototype special edition and this thing is very
strong and fast for the engine size . so far I'm still breaking in mine and I got it up to 61 mph.
in sand and mud will do about 50 which is ok for the terrain. also this thing is a monster in 4 low with dif locks on. I have tow my
hummer up my driveway with inclination, the only thing needs is better shocks
and that's why I give it a 4 other than that is a beast.

Review of Ghost 250
Bill (Chandler, AZ)
Basically a good bike for the
money. A good starter/city bike. Do not expect to tour. Max speed is 60 MPH.
Speedo says MPH but it is KPH. Motor runs great. I have had a few Chinese
bikes. As long as you take care of them, keep them maintained and do not do
any more than they are made for, I have had good luck with them. I am tired
of Chinsed MC bashing. You simply must take care of them.

I was very skeptical ordering a gokart
online never seeing it and it being from china. Kart was delivered a week
ago, right to my house and the driver helped me move it into my shop. (was
great) It did have a scratch about one inch long on the bottom driver side
tube from the packaging. ( so what lolol) The build was no problem. As far as the Kart goes
the lights are trash for night riding take them off as soon as you get it.
seat belts work fine just super cheap but i think
all the karts have the same belts but thats the
bad... the kart great it has a lot more stuff then it said oil cooler, front
brakes and a few other things. now I raced offroad
tucks & buggies for 5 years, power is good (its
a gokart not a race vehicle.) It is 177.6 cc gy6
about 8.5 hp. no problem climbing hills. speed is about 40mph 0-30 mph 6.7
sec. very happy with it prob the best buggy in that class and gokart USA was great. ;John

The machine was well packed (crated) and protected. Overall I was well impressed with the entire unit. I
bought it for my 6 YO grand daughter, and with the
adjustable seat it allowed her to easily reach the peddles. Negatives: The
manual included was for 9 models and included nothing about the reverse
feature. Does not list oil type for the trans, other then
'Gear Oil'. Nor is there any info about the torque converter.

American fyer mini bike 215 - gas
tank install and sprocket/clutch alignment
Thomas Lofland (Northbrook, IL)
I If this is open forum can anyone tell me a good way to install
a Predator gas tank onto back of American Flyer 215 mini bike frame? Have
already removed tank from engine and installed longer fuel line. I thought I
read somewhere that if I drill hole in back of frame I can mount tank with
bracket. Need more specifics . . . It looks like the rear wheel sprocket and
clutch are out of alignment by as much as an inch and a half - maybe more(clutch protrudes away from sprocket. Have no idea how
to align (bring clutch closer into motor or move motor further over) so that
clutch and sprocket align. Tom

Bike looks and runs awesome.

Would Purchase Again?: YES Review:
Little BadAss MiniChopper
Bike looks and runs awesome. Delivery was great. A few initial
disappointments: the tank arrived with a small but noticeable scratch on top
of the gas tank that will not buff out; I'm really disappointed it didn't
come with the Little Bad Ass decals on the tank; the rear fender isn't
reinforced so it bends down every time I ride and I have to bend it back up;
it didn't come with a manual for the motor, carb, or torque convertor, those
would be helpful when servicing; the chain stretched quite a bit right away;
the cheap headlight they put on there is good for nothing but show because it
don't put enough light out to ride after dark. They should also offer more
options to add when you order like ape hanger bars, sissy bars, wheel size,
led headlight, etc.

Fat Gas Cap required by EPA
Jack (Tempe, AZ)
The Titan engine will fit into the engine bay as shown in the
picture. The cap can be a bit difficult to remove for fueling. You can pop
off the top part of the gas cap for easier fueling. If that's not good
enough, you can run your stock gas tank externally or install the cylindrical
tank

Torque Converters
Chris Cimino (Shreveport, LA)
I wonder why Torque converters are not available with a 5/8
engine driver member. The smallest is 3/4 and the driven (output) is 5/8. I
have a 79cc predator on my huffy 26" cranbrook
bicycle. I would like to mount the 212 but it won't fit. The biggest I can
get on is the 79cc unless I get a 29" bike also a 26" wheel
requires an 80 tooth sprocket 415 chain which is
about 20" in diameter and is good for about 35 mph. I got it off my manco big cat and I wonder if manco
went out of business I can't get a replacement 80 tooth to put back my big
cat. I had to use a 3/4 to 5/8 sleeve to mount a torque converter on the 79cc
and I had to get a longer 2 1/2 inch grade 8 bolt
and it turned out great. but I still wish they made one as I don't like
rigging. I ordered a stinger exaust and I hope it
fit's the little 79cc it needs all the help it can get. I drive that bike
every day to work and back 18 miles round trip and I really enjoy 80 miles to
a gallon. It's a new hobby.

TOYS BREAK, A Word about Powersports
Products...
Mike(Staff) (Benicia, CA)
You will probably break something within the first week. You are
going to need parts. This is the nature of the sport. Gokarts,
Minibikes, ATVs, etc. are mechanically intensive to Setup, Operate, Adjust,
Maintain and Repair. This may not be a problem if you truely
know how to work on them. But, if you are not able to work on them yourself,
you will need a mechanic! Be sure your gokart is
properly setup before operating. You can bring it to our Service Center in
Benicia, CA or to a Mechanic or Shop near you. Small Engine Repair, Garden
Equipment shops can often work on some Gokarts and
Minibikes.

Dead Battery
Alex (Staff) (Benicia, CA)
OK, Here's the scoop on Batteries. Karts are gasoline operated
and the battery, if any, is used for your electric start only. The battery
started the gokart, but the next day went dead.
This is a common problem, batteries can quickly discharge or short out when
stored. Thats why we strongly recommend
disconnecting the terminals or using a Battery Tender on all gokarts each time you park it. Please see more
information regarding the battery tender. Batteries are not covered under
warranty. You may have to buy a replacement from time to time.

Mini-Bike Fork &
Bolt set

Add the dimensions
Robert Smith (Ann Arbor, MI)
It would be a big help and add a professional touch if the
dimensions of the product were given especially on parts such as this. I've
got the baja dirt bug which is 3" wider then
these. I will have to cut off both cross braces and weld in new ones to widen
to the correct dimension. The more technical information a site provides on
their products the more likely they are to have not only more internet traffic
but also increased sales. Other then being the
wrong size the Forks are good quality with strong welds and came ready for
primer and paint.

Trailmaster 196 XRS
Galo Grijalva (Lakewood, NY)
Little smaller than I imagined, but will fit an adult with some
knees bent. I'm 5'6. My kids love it. Seat belts will need to also be longer
to fit an adult. Put an aftermarket exhaust and pending intake and rejet carb. So far so good till today my little one had
poor brakes. One of the caliper bolts fell off and the rotor ate into the
sides of the pads and the slide pin. I requested new pads, caliper and a bolt
on warranty since its brand new. When I took off the other bolt it was not on
very tight. I'd recommend looking at this particularly and adding loctite when going over it. I also tightened the
suspension bolts and needed minor adjustment to align in properly. All major
bolts should be looked over. I am hoping gokarts usa does the right thing and sends me the parts. Just put
the request in today on a saturday so will wait
till monday to see how its handled.

Troublesome to put on, but.....
Jonathan Anthony (Palmerton , PA)
I'm new to this so I thought this wouldn't be bad, and it wasnt. The only problem was modifying parts and aligning
the belt that wouldn't align properly with the parts given in the kit. Also the chain wouldn't fit without 2 masterlinks
and the keys would fit into the jack shaft without the use of a hammer and
wd40 Aside from these annoyances, it's a mighty piece of machinery that'll
make your bike much more powerful....... buy make sure you have metric with
you for sockets.

1996 Dodge Viper Pace car Kart
John McNeal (Anderson, IN)
I just bought a Dodge Viper Pace car
Kart and was hoping someone could help me with parts. I believe there are no
parts different then most karts. It has a 3/4"
rear axle and a 5/8" front spindle. It was manufactured by Midwestern
Industries for dodge and IMS (decal on rear states this) I am interested in
getting the correct wheels and tires as well as a decal set as I am restoring
this Kart. I believe gokarts USA sells a version of
this kart. but can I get the decals from them. any help will greatly be app.
thanks. John **************************ANSWER: John, it is highy likely that very few of theses
were ever manufactured. It is a specialty item. The manufacturer is long
since gone. We do not have any original replacement parts. We do have gokart parts including axles, spindles, wheels and tires.
take careful measurements as you have, to select the correct parts. I hope
this helps, Nick

I have question about KD-150gka-2, I have tried to get this go
kart to start and it will not start. can anyone help me with this issues? I was looking at all the questions from
others but I could not find the answers or the solutions that someone might
have given them to correct the issuse????
*************ANSWER: A gokart not starting can be
due to many reasons. Press the brake pedal when trying to start (there is a
switch on the smaller gokarts) Fuel, Spark,
Battery, Fuse, Wiring, etc. Letting a qualified mechanic assemble your gokart is always your best bet.

Kandi KD-150
(KD-150GKM-2) Buggy

Fun, but a little underpowered.
Jason Peterson (Albuquerque, NM)
Easy to put together, but when we first took it out in the
desert sand it would get stuck. Hills @ 30% incline would be impossible to
climb. Relatively flat surfaces with no sand or big hills would be ideal for
this buggy. I had to buy the upgraded clutch, sliders, air filter, and spark
plug to get the lower end torque to get thru light sand and barley get up the
hills and thru most sand. Top speed is 30MPH on the street even with the
modifications. All in all, it's fun but I would spend a bit more and get
something made for speed and power. I would rate it 2.5 stars if I could.
**********COMMEND FROM STAFF: 150 Buggies are best suited for Trail Riding.
They are not really designed for Hill Climbing. For that, you need a lot more
HP. You are on the right track though, carb and
exhaust will improve further. Alex

Titan TX200E 6.5hp eStart OHV Powersport Engine, Go Kart Mini Bike

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
Alex (Walnut Creek, CA)
David, this is a sweet motor. Oil changes are daily for the
track when the engine is operated at extreme temps. Otherwise it depends on
operation, normally every 10-15 hours of operation. You can use Mobile 1
synthetic if you want. As far as hooking up the e-start, I agree, there is
basically no usable documentation. We need to develop instructions. I will
ask one of our senior technicians to work on this. In the meantime. It's
fairly basic, but info I can give you at this time is limited. The positive
cable goes from the battery the Starter Circuit on the engine. The negative
cable is grounded. That should really all you need to do. We will create a
PDF and video and post it on the product page soon. Thank you
Alex

1002B TC2 Torque
Converter, for Baja/Coleman/Trailmaster Mini Bike

This "kit" is misleading
Carl Hight (Winnfield, LA)
This is just a 1002 kit. If you want the lug nut for the later
models it is extra. The bad thing about it it's the wrong lug nut. Should be
1 to 1.37 long and this one is .75. Only maybe two threads engage. Your
decals are on backorder and you will never get them.I contacted customer service and that was a
joke. *********************ANSWER: Carl, Yes the
1002B for the Baja Minibike is the same as the 1002 with the same price. We
offer the 1002B to make it easier for our customers to choose the correct
Torque Converter. Yes, you can use the 1" Lug nut if you choose. the
3/4" works just fine. The Baja Engine is a very cheaply made engine. We
recommend upgrading the engine. Please see our TrailMaster Monster Dog Minibike
with several custom engine options, way better than Baja, Also, decals are in
stock, we include them with every order. Thanks, Jeff

Aluminum Gas Tank mount
Jon S. (USA)
QUESTION: Do I really need a stage 1 kit to use one of your
aluminum tanks on a Honda clone ? I would like to
replace the stock tank and mount and aluminum one in its place but wanted to
ask the question first before I ordered. *****************************
ANSWER: Jon, You can use the aluminum tank without
the stage 1 kit if you install it on the frame and leave the stock tank on
the engine. If you install it on the engine, you have to remove the stock
tank all of the stock throttle linkage. The Mikuni Carb just drops the
throttle cable into the top of the carb, eliminating the need for all the
cumbersome stock throttle linkage. That's why we recommend using a Stage 1
Kit when using out 7 and 11" engine mount Gas Tanks. Options: Stock Carb
w/Fatty Exaust (leave stock tank in place) Mikuni
Carb w/Fatty (remove stock tank) Mikuni Carb with Stinger (remove stock Tank

the screws that secure the front mud guard and face plate are missing. The

stick. We were planning on taking the kids to the field Wednesday to ride
their bike but I guess is not going to happen now. Please send us the missing

Cameron (Princeton, MN)
Product: bms typhoon Would Purchase Again?: NO Review: I purchased a kids ATV, ATV was shipped
fairly quickly but received no email notification. I had to call for tracking
information and when I tracked the shipment the shipping company had the
wrong contact phone number for delivery which delayed delivery. I checked my
order and I had info correct on order. Upon delivery, I assembled the ATV and
discovered the battery was dead. OK I'll charge it... Nope, it was junk.
After charging the battery with a 500mha charger the battery showed 18
volts??! As soon as I put a load on the battery it showed 0 volts.. OK so I called gokartsusa,
I was told to submit some online help request which I did. Wow, got a
response... Sorry we don't warranty batteries, go buy a new one at a local
store for $12.00. Yeah...$40 later I have a new battery. Not the end of the
world but, I plan on buying another atv after
testing this one and it will NOT be from this site. I assume this review will
not make it on this site. Thanks

David: Electric Start
Josh (Staff) (Pleasant Hill, CA)
David, it must be a low battery or wire connection. Replace the
Fuse on the starter circuit. Make sure your battery has a full charge. Often
times, the lights will come on, but there may not be sufficient power to
operate the starter. your gokart manually starts so
this does not apply to you, but KIDS GOKARTS HAVE A BEAKE SWITCH, you must
firmly depress the brake in order to start the engine. Finally, LOW OIL
SENSOR will prevent engine from starting. ALWAYS INSTALL FRESH OIL when
setting up any new motor. they come with light break-in oil. Never run your
engine with this oil, its a sure way to blow it

Baja TC2
Nick (GokartsUSA Employee)
(Pleasant, CA)
use the GTC TC2 for the Baja. if your engine has a drilled and
tapped crankshaft. If your crank is threaded, you will need the special lug
nut. Click on the picture of the Torque Converter on the left as you scroll
down any page of our website. Most Baja's do but some newer ones like the
MB200 might not. You need to be able to screw in a bolt on the end of your
crankshaft to fasten the Driver Clutch of the GTC Torque Converter. Baja
Minibikes are a bit slow out of the box. The TC2 will definitely wake up your
Baja. You will notice an amazing difference. What do you do if the crank
isn't tapped? The only real choice is to replace the engine. When you view
the Baja TC2 kit, you can add a Titan Engine. They will bolt right up and
install on your Baja

Nick (GokartsUSA Employee) (Pleasant
Hill, CA)
Hi Josh, youre right, white smoke
usually means oil. It sounds like everything was fine, then something changed
during operation. Buggies are ridden off-road and bumps can cause problems.
wires and fuel lines can come loose. If the buggy tipped over, some oil could
have gotten into the chamber. sounds like you checked for a loose air filter.
Poor Idle suggests fuel issue. Air bubble in fuel line? Engine overheated?
Tap on float bowl lightly in case the float is stuck. if the battery is
discharged, the engine can sometimes run poorly. I hope this helps, Nick

Josh (Newton, KS)
After resolving a carb. connection issue we drained the shipping
oil, replaced it with 10/40 and drove for about 90 minutes. We then drained
the oil again and refilled. After another 2 hours of drive time it started
smoking on acceleration. It is white/smoke(oil) burning. The idle is rough
and will not stay running without giving it gas. We tried some minor
adjustments to the carb and cleaned out the air filter as well. Are there
known issues with this motor?

Alex (Staff Member) (Pleasant Hill, CA)
We used to carry aftermarket snow plow attachments for ATVs.
Sorry, we no longer carry them. However, I will put your request in. We will
check and if available again, we will post them in the ATV section of our
website. Thanks, Alex

First Start of Buggy
Josh W. (Newton, KS )
Attempted first start of the motor and there is fuel leaking out
the back end of the motor. The motor turned over once and will not now.
Almost appears to be coming from the crank case. Just setting in the shop
with the line open on the tank it is leaking. ********* Response**** Hi Josh,
my name is Nick and I will be your Adviser for this request. I see that you
have selected to do the assembly yourself. Gasoline is likely leaking from
the fuel intake and dripping down the engine. You have a fuel line and a
vacuum line. Both must be properly hooked up in order to operate the fuel
valve. In the HOW TO section, you will find the Buggy Setup Guide, Fuel
System Guide, Lubrication Guide. Make sure you follow the instructions in
those documents. There are many things you need to do to uncrate and assemble
your gokart. Please make sure to drain your
crankcase and add fresh 10/40 oil. it is a common mistake to run the engine
with no oil. There may be some residual break-in oil in the engine when is is shipped to you. this is a 5W. Do not run the engine
with this oil. this is the fastest way to seize your engine. after running it
for about 15 minutes, you will hear a pop. we recommend having a qualified
ATV mechanic setup your buggy. I Hope this helps. Nick

Mini Bike Tires
Omar Soto (Meadows Place, TX)
I have an old Simplex/Rand mini bike (1980 +/-). I want to
restore the bike but I need to first find rims (chrome spoke rims). Next, I
need to replace the existing studded tires (Caesar 10 x 16 nylon tires,
2ply). What type of tires would need to get to replace the Caesar 16 x 10?

RE: engine runs rough
Nick (GokartsUSA Employee) (Pleasant
Hill, CA)
Rob, you likely need to re-jet your carb after installing the
Stage 1 Intake and Exhaust. try .034 .035 and .036 main jets for your stock
carb on a Honda GX200 or clone engine. After jetting, you should see your
engine take off like gangbusters

Stinger Pipe
Tim (IL)
Hey just wanted to let you guys out ther
know, if you have a Honda GX200 or clone, you should definitely checkout the
Stinger Exhaust. This is one wild pipe, we love it. it looks and sounds great
and adds a lot of hosrsies. I got is on my minibike
with 6" wheels. I dont think it would fit on
my BAJA or I would get one for it too. I think if I heat the pipe a bit, I
might be able to bend it up a bit to clear that fat
tire
